Key factors in North Dakota State’s projected success include a defense that held opposing quarterbacks to a 53 percent completion percentage and led the MVFC in interceptions while finishing second in sacks. Bison wide receiver bryce Lance, a future NFL draft pick, is expected to be a pivotal player, having recorded nine catches for 107 yards and a touchdown in the 2024 championship game.
Montana State’s path to the championship included a regular-season victory over Montana by three points, and they will have home-field advantage in the semifinal matchup. However, the Bison’s balanced offensive attack, featuring both a strong passing game led by Lance and a potent rushing attack, is predicted to prove too difficult for the Bobcats to overcome.
