2025 BAFTA Film Awards: Winners & Nominees – Full List

“One Battle After Another” was named Best Film at the 2026 BAFTA Film Awards, dominating the ceremony with a total of seven wins, including Best Leading Actor for Leonardo DiCaprio and Best Supporting Actor for Sean Penn. The awards, held Sunday evening, saw several surprises in the acting categories, according to reports from Gold Derby and Deadline.

Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” secured the Best Original Screenplay award, while Paul Thomas Anderson took home the prize for Best Adapted Screenplay for “One Battle After Another.”

Jessie Buckley was recognized as Best Leading Actress for her performance in “Hamnet,” a film that also won Best Production Design and Best Make Up & Hair. Robert Aramayo won the Rising Star Award, voted for by the public.

The Best Children’s and Family Film award went to “ArcoBoong.” “Frankenstein” was also a significant winner, taking home awards for Best Special Visual Effects, Best Production Design, and Best Make Up & Hair, as well as Best Costume Design.

In documentary filmmaking, “Mr Nobody Against Putin” was awarded Best Documentary. “This Is Endometriosis” won Best British Short Film, and “Two Black Boys in Paradise” was named Best British Short Animation.

Akinola Davies Jr and Wale Davies won Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer for “My Father’s Shadow.” Kirk Jones was recognized for Best Casting for his operate on “I Swear.”

Zootropolis 2 won Best Animated Film, while “F1” secured the award for Best Sound. “Sinners” also won Best Original Score. “One Battle After Another” was awarded Best Cinematography and Best Editing.

“Sentimental Value” was named Best Film Not in the English Language. “Hamnet” received the award for Outstanding British Film. Clare Binns was honored with the Outstanding British contribution to cinema award, and Donna Langley received the BAFTA Fellowship.
