HOUSTON – A $2 million Powerball ticket was sold at a grocery store in Houston‘s East End, the Texas Lottery confirmed Wednesday.The winning ticket was purchased at Sellers Bros., formerly known as Barri 140088, the location retailer’s license number the commission uses to identify the store.
The massive $1.7 billion Powerball jackpot remains unclaimed, with the next drawing scheduled for Saturday. While no one matched all six numbers in the latest drawing, one Texas ticket holder - the buyer at Sellers bros. – matched five numbers to win the $2 million prize.
The winning numbers from the January 13th drawing were 7, 11, 19, 27, 37 and the Powerball was 4. The ticket was a Quick Pick, meaning the numbers were randomly generated.
