Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell Maintain Separate Finances After 18 Years of Marriage
In a candid interview on Sirius XM, actress Rebecca Romijn revealed that she and her husband, Jerry O’Connell, have maintained separate bank accounts throughout their 18-year marriage. The couple, who met in 2004, discussed their financial arrangement as a legal association early in their relationship.
“We are definitely keeping our money separate,” Romijn confessed. she explained that this decision was made during one of their initial conversations before their wedding.
Despite their separate finances, Romijn clarified that they have established a joint fund to cover family expenses, notably for their twin daughters, Charlie and Dolly.The contribution to this fund is flexible, with the higher earner at any given time contributing more. “At that time, the party does not work on a short break on the contribution of money. The employee puts a little more money,” Romijn stated, emphasizing that this system works well as a team effort with her husband.
Romijn and O’Connell’s relationship began after meeting at a Las Vegas party.O’Connell has previously described their meeting as “love at first sight.” Romijn was previously married to actor John Stamos from 1998 to 2005. She filed for divorce from Stamos a month after meeting O’Connell. The couple officially married in 2007 and have as shared their lives, with the exception of their individual earnings.
