10 New Movies to Stream Now on Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video & More (Feb 2026)

February 16, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

The film “Song Sung Blue,” a biographical drama starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson as musicians who form a Neil Diamond tribute act, is now available on demand, but the real-life family at the center of the story has voiced strong objections to its portrayal of events. The film, which debuted in select theaters earlier this month, has sparked controversy as the son of the man the film is based on, Robert “Bob” Gaudio, has publicly accused the filmmakers of fabricating details and presenting a misleading narrative.

According to a report from Fox News, Joe Gaudio, the son of Robert Gaudio, called Jackman and Hudson “monsters” for their involvement in the film, alleging it is filled with “lies.” The film centers on the story of Mac MacAnally and Sissy Spacek’s tribute act to Neil Diamond, and the couple’s personal struggles. Joe Gaudio claims the film significantly alters the reality of his father’s experiences and relationship with his mother.

People.com reported that Joe Gaudio specifically takes issue with the film’s depiction of his parents’ marriage and the circumstances surrounding his father’s involvement with the tribute act. He alleges that the film fabricates a romantic connection and portrays events that never occurred.

Despite the backlash from the Gaudio family, “Song Sung Blue” has received some positive attention. A review from JubileeCast described the film as a “heartbreaking true story about love and loss,” praising the performances of Jackman and Hudson. FilmoGaz characterized the film as an “ebullient tribute to a tribute to Neil Diamond.”

The controversy surrounding “Song Sung Blue” comes as the film joins a slate of new releases available for streaming this weekend. Other notable films now available on demand include “Blue Moon,” starring Ethan Hawke, “Eternity” with Elizabeth Olsen and Miles Teller, and Tyler Perry’s “Joe’s College Road Trip” on Netflix. “Predator: Badlands” and “The Wrecking Crew” are also available on Hulu and Prime Video, respectively.

The availability of these films across various streaming platforms – Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Peacock, and Apple TV – offers a diverse range of viewing options for audiences this Valentine’s Day weekend. Alongside these theatrical releases, several original streaming films are also debuting, including the Netflix documentary “Queen of Chess” focusing on Judit Polgár, and the romantic comedy “Relationship Goals” on Prime Video.
