NC State Wrestling Seeks​ Milestone Victories at Appalachian State Sunday

BOONE, N.C. – The No. ‌10 NC‌ State Wolfpack‍ wrestling ‌team travels to Boone,North Carolina,this Sunday for a dual meet against Appalachian State,seeking⁤ to⁢ achieve several program milestones while continuing its dominance in the series. A win would ​mark the ⁣795th in program history (currently ‍794-490-22), the 260th of head coach Popolizio’s career (259-89-2), and his ⁣179th victory at NC State (178-36).

This matchup represents the ​45th meeting​ between the two programs, with NC‍ State‌ holding a commanding 34-9-1 advantage.​ the Wolfpack secured a 34-12 victory over the Mountaineers in their last encounter in Raleigh‍ last⁣ season, and Appalachian ‍State hasn’t ⁢defeated NC State sence 2010.Beyond the historical significance, ‌this ⁤dual offers⁤ an possibility‍ for the wolfpack to solidify ‍its position within the competitive ACC landscape.
