Topping the latest wave of releases is the psychological thriller “The Whisper Man“ on Netflix. Adam Scott stars as a crime writer whose son is kidnapped by a serial killer, alongside Robert De Niro who plays his estranged detective dad. Alongside this title, Hulu has added the art-world comedy “The Christophers” and the historical action drama “Desert Warrior”, while Prime Video brings the genre-mashing revenge flick “Is God Is” to its catalog.

Biographical and musical storytelling features heavily in the current rotation. Disney+ hosts “Camp Rock 3”, the teen musical threequel where the siblings of Connect 3 (played by the Jonas Brothers) return to camp in need of an opening act for their reunion tour. The cast features ambitious singer Liamani Segura, her brother Hudson Stone, and bad-boy guitarist Malachi Barton.

On Netflix, British actor Robert Aramayo stars in “I Swear”, a biopic tracking Tourette’s activist John Davidson. Aramayo won best actor at the BAFTAs for the role, beating out Michael B. In Steven Soderbergh’s dark comedy “The Christophers” on Hulu, Michaela Coel plays Lori, an art forger hired to be the personal assistant for famous painter Julian (Ian McKellen) by his greedy kids, tasked with completing the master’s unfinished works. On Prime Video, Aleshea Harris’s revenge film “Is God Is” features twin sisters Racine (Kara Young) and Anaia (Mallori Johnson) tasked by their dying mom (Vivica A. Fox) to kill their father (Sterling K. Brown).

Additional releases include the historical action drama “Desert Warrior” on Hulu, featuring Aiysha Hart as an Arabian princess who escapes a ruthless emperor (Ben Kingsley) and unites rival tribes with the help of a legendary bandit played by Anthony Mackie. Prime Video offers the romantic drama “The Last Sunrise”, starring Maia Reficco as a college student with a chronic illness traveling to Mallorca with her mother (Eva Longoria), where she meets a local fisherman (Fernando Lindez). HBO Max presents “Mother Mary”, a horror-tinged psychological drama where pop star Anne Hathaway reaches out to her estranged friend and costume designer (Michaela Coel) for concert wear during a comeback trail. Rounding out the list, “Passenger” follows a van-life couple (Lou Llobell and Jacob Scipio) who stop at a car accident only to encounter a demonic spirit.
