‘Zootopia 2′ Animator Addresses judy and nick Romance Speculation
SEOUL, December 2, 2025 – A Korean animator involved in Disney’s “Zootopia 2” has hinted at a potentially evolving relationship between the film’s central characters, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, while remaining coy about whether it will become explicitly romantic. Youngjae Choi,speaking on the film’s success,suggested a “more unique relationship” could unfold if a third installment is produced.
Released nine years after the original, “Zootopia 2” follows Judy and Nick as they investigate a series of perilous incidents threatening the city, spurred by an unidentified snake named Gary. The sequel has become a global box office hit, surpassing $500 million (approximately KRW 735.4 billion) in revenue worldwide, and is currently playing in theaters. The question of Judy and Nick’s relationship has been a frequent topic of discussion among fans, and Choi’s comments add fuel to the speculation.
“If there is a third part, I think there will be a more unique relationship, but I don’t know how it will turn out at the moment,” Choi stated.
