LOS ANGELES,CA – November 11,2023 – A strategic partnership between united Illusions,a photography studio based in Fót,Hungary,and Orbital Studios,a leading virtual film studio in Hollywood,was announced today at the Creative Artists Agency headquarters in Los Angeles,coinciding with the American Film Market. The collaboration aims to accelerate innovation and expand the capabilities of virtual production techniques rapidly becoming standard in major film and television projects.
This alliance signifies a growing trend of international collaboration within the film industry, driven by the demand for more efficient and enduring production methods. Virtual production, utilizing LED walls to display real-time environments around actors, offers significant cost and time savings compared to customary filmmaking. The technology is already being utilized in high-profile productions such as James Gunn’s Superman, the Brad Pitt-led F1 racing drama, and HBO’s House of the Dragon.
