Thai Stock Market Outlook: Kasikorn Securities Projects Potential for‌ Gains Amid Key Economic Data

Kasikorn⁢ Securities anticipates the Thai stock market (SET Index)‍ will face support levels at 1,250 and 1,230 points this week (December 8-12, 2025), with potential resistance at 1,285 and, crucially, ⁣exceeding 1,300 points following the outcome of the Federal Reserve (Fed) meeting.

The Kasikorn Research ‍Center highlights ⁢the Fed meeting (December 9-10) and the flow of foreign‌ capital as key factors to⁢ monitor.Significant US economic indicators scheduled for release include October’s Job Openings and Labor Turnover ⁤Survey (JOLTS) data and the latest weekly‌ jobless claims figures.

Beyond the US, investors will be closely watching economic developments in Asia. This includes Japan’s third-quarter ‌2025 GDP and October industrial production figures, alongside November data from China encompassing the Consumer Price Index (CPI), producer Price Index (PPI), and export numbers.

Last week,‌ the SET Index experienced a rebound early in the week, driven by increased buying from foreign investors and domestic securities firms. This followed improvements in the Southern flood situation and the government’s implementation of relief measures. ⁢Large-cap stocks, especially in the banking, Technology, and Energy sectors, led the gains. The ‍Energy sector benefited from rising global oil prices⁢ after⁣ OPEC+’s decision to maintain current production levels through the first quarter of 2026. Expectations‍ of potential interest rate cuts by‍ both the‌ US Federal reserve⁤ and the Bank of Thailand in December also contributed to positive ‍market sentiment.

However, trading activity moderated later ⁣in the week due to a lack of new catalysts. Investors are now focused on the results of the Fed meeting and are preparing for a domestic long holiday period.

As of Thursday, December 4, 2025, the SET Index closed at⁢ 1,273.77 points, representing a⁣ 1.36% increase from the previous week’s close. Average daily trading ‌volume rose⁤ by 8.74% to 35,948.79 million baht. The Market for Alternative Investment ⁣(mai) index also saw gains, increasing ⁤0.87% to close at 216.19 points.
