Spotify’s Radar Program Celebrates Five Years of Championing Emerging Artists
New York, NY – Spotify is celebrating the fifth anniversary of Radar, its global program dedicated to supporting and amplifying emerging talent. Launched in 2020, Radar has now backed over 1,000 artists across more than 180 markets worldwide.
The initiative has demonstrably boosted artist visibility, with Radar artists collectively generating over 338 billion streams and securing 6.5 billion discoveries on the platform.Spotify playlists have added tracks from Radar artists over 1.5 million times globally, and user-generated playlists have included their music more than 1.1 billion times.
Radar’s success lies in its commitment to diverse genres and regions, fostering the careers of artists like Doechii, Peso pluma, Enhypen, Tems, Tyla, PinkPantheress, and Zach Bryan. To mark the milestone, Spotify has curated a “Best Of Radar” playlist featuring the 100 moast-streamed artists from the program globally.
