Honor Targets Budget market with new Play10 Smartphone

This new device focuses on affordability and efficiency, running on the streamlined Android Go operating system and boasting a long-lasting battery.
The Play10 arrives shortly after the release of the Play10C in august, which featured a more powerful Mediatek Dimensity 6300 processor, a 6,000 mAh battery, and Android 15 – all at a price point of approximately 80 euros (around 3,000 baht).
The Play10 takes a slightly different approach, powered by the Mediatek Helio G81 chipset.This 12nm processor features an octa-core configuration:
2 x Cortex-A75 Cores: Clocked at up to 2.0 GHz for performance.
6 x Cortex-A55 Cores: Clocked at up to 1.7 GHz for efficiency.
This chipset is paired with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.Crucially,the Play10 utilizes Android Go,a lightweight version of Android designed to run smoothly on devices with more modest specifications. Storage is also expandable via a MicroSD card, supporting capacities up to 1TB.
The Play10 features a large 6.74-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels. For selfies,it includes a 5-megapixel front-facing camera,while the rear of the device houses a 13-megapixel main camera.Both cameras are capable of recording video at up to 1080p resolution.
despite its budget-amiable positioning, the Play10 doesn’t skimp on essential features. It packs a substantial 5,000 mAh battery into a slim 8.55mm chassis weighing 189 grams. The device also offers IP52 dust and splash resistance, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an FM radio receiver, a fingerprint sensor, and supports Wi-Fi 5 (AC) and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity.
The Honor Play10 will be available in three color options: Ocean Cyan, Starry Purple, and midnight Black. Honor has yet to announce specific pricing or release dates, but further details are expected soon.
