Angie from Louis Theroux Documentary: Speaks Out on Relationship & Netflix Feature

The former girlfriend of “manosphere” influencer Myron Gaines, also known as Amrou Fudl, has spoken publicly for the first time about her breakup with the Fresh and Fit podcast host following his appearance in Louis Theroux’s new Netflix documentary, Inside the Manosphere. Angelica Camacho, who goes by “Angie,” claims she was unaware she would be featured in the documentary and attempted to have her segments removed.

Camacho addressed the situation in a recent TikTok video, stating she “begged the producers on email thousands of times to take me out of the documentary, but that didn’t happen.” She explained she signed documents without reading the contract, leading to her inclusion in the film. The documentary highlighted Gaines’ views on relationships, including his advocacy for “one-way monogamy,” where he maintains openness while expecting exclusivity from his partner. Theroux questioned Camacho about this dynamic during filming, a conversation that reportedly contributed to the couple’s eventual split.

Gaines has publicly attributed the breakup to Camacho’s desire to start a family, stating he “can’t give that to her right now.” He described her as a “great girlfriend” and placed the blame for the separation on himself, according to reports. However, Camacho’s TikTok video offers a different perspective. She stated she is now in a new relationship where she feels valued and can “see a future with somebody.”

Camacho also addressed speculation about infidelity, stating, “I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I never cheated on anybody. That doesn’t really align with values.” She emphasized her gratitude for the lessons learned from the experience and expressed a desire to move forward, asking that the past not be brought into her current relationship.

The release of Inside the Manosphere has prompted significant online discussion about Gaines’ views and the broader “manosphere” movement. Gaines himself has accused Theroux of being “deceptive” in his portrayal of their interview, claiming that edited footage misrepresented his views on polygamy. He posted on X (formerly Twitter) claiming to have additional clips that would prove his ex-partner accepted his relationship structure, as reported by Dexerto.com.

Gaines, 36, is known for his controversial opinions on women, Jewish people, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and others, expressed on his podcast and in his book, Why Women Deserve Less. The Standard reports he advocates for men to be “dictators” in relationships and women to be their “subordinates.”

Mindhouse Productions and Netflix have been contacted for comment by LADbible Group, but have not yet responded.

Louis Theroux: Inside the Manosphere is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
