As of 08:00 on April 20, the level of air pollution in Kyiv is low. The radiation background in the whole city is normal. This was reported by the Department of Environmental Protection and Adaptation to Climate Change of the KMDA.

At the stationary atmospheric air monitoring station at the address St. Turivska, 28 general air quality index* – 27 (low level of pollution).

The content of pollutants is:

  • suspended particles (dust) – 15.5 ÎĽg/m3 (maximum permissible concentration – 500 ÎĽg/m3), in particular dust fraction 2.5 ÎĽm (PM2.5) – 8.4 ÎĽg/m3, dust fraction 10 ÎĽm (PM10) – 12.0 ÎĽg/m3;
  • nitrogen oxide – 5.6 ÎĽg/m3 (MPC – 400 ÎĽg/m3);
  • nitrogen dioxide – 24.0 ÎĽg/m3 (MPC – 200 ÎĽg/m3);
