Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Release Date, Specs & Best Deals

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is now available for purchase through Movistar, including options within the carrier’s Swap program, according to announcements this week. The new device features a 6.9-inch display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, and a 200 + 50 + 50 + 10 MP camera system.

Movistar is offering the Galaxy S26 Ultra with 512GB or 1TB of storage, in blanco (white) and violeta (purple) color options. The 512GB model is priced starting at €1,649 for a one-time purchase, or from €25.50 per month on a 48-month financing plan. The 1TB version costs €1,949 outright, or begins at €33 per month with financing. Lower-capacity models, the S26 and S26+, are also available, starting at €14 and €19 per month respectively.

A key feature of the S26 Ultra is its new “Pantalla de Privacidad” (Privacy Screen), which limits visibility from side angles to protect sensitive information displayed on the screen. The display also boasts a brightness of up to 2600 nits and utilizes AI ProScaler technology to upscale content to QHD+ resolution. Samsung has emphasized the device’s improved AI capabilities, positioning it as a personal assistant.

Movistar’s Swap program allows customers to upgrade to a new Samsung device every 24 months by paying a monthly fee. At the end of the 24-month period, customers can either return the device and receive the latest model, or continue paying to own the current device outright for a small final payment of €1. The program is designed to provide access to the latest technology without a large upfront investment.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra includes an embedded eSIM and is compatible with Movistar’s network. The device also comes with an included S Pen. Movistar is currently fulfilling orders for the S26 Ultra with standard domestic shipping times.
