Ravens Key Players Hamilton, Jackson, and Bateman Expected to Play in Thanksgiving Matchup Against Bengals
Baltimore Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton, quarterback Lamar Jackson, and wide receiver Rashod Bateman are all expected to play in Thursday’s Thanksgiving game against the cincinnati Bengals, despite recent injury concerns. Hamilton, who limped out of Sunday’s win over the New York Jets, returned to practice after missing only one session. Jackson has been managing injuries to his knee, ankle, and toe over the past three weeks, but stated Tuesday he is “getting healthier ‘in some areas.'” Bateman is set to return after missing the past two games with an ankle injury.
The availability of these players is crucial for the Ravens as they prepare to face the Bengals. Hamilton’s versatility and ability to match up against Cincinnati’s offensive playmakers will be key, while jackson’s health is paramount to the Ravens’ offensive success. Bateman’s return adds a big-play threat to the receiving corps. However, the Ravens will be without running back Justice Hill (neck) and defensive lineman Taven Bryan (knee), who have both been ruled out.
jackson addressed his recent ailments, saying, “I just got fell on. I’m good, though. Toe’s good.” Hamilton acknowledged the physical demands of his hybrid role, noting the “physical challenge of getting ready to play each week” has been the most difficult aspect.
The Bengals will be without two important players: wide receiver Tee Higgins and defensive end trey Hendrickson, both of whom have been ruled out. With Hill sidelined, Keaton Mitchell may see increased opportunities behind Derrick Henry, and Rasheen Ali is highly likely to be active. The Ravens may elevate a player from the practice squad or activate rookie Aeneas Peebles to fill Bryan’s spot on the defensive line.
