NVIDIA Invests $25M in K-12 AI Education Initiatives

NVIDIA‌ Commits $25 ⁤Million to Expand AI Education ​in U.S. K-12 schools

SANTA CLARA, CA – July 25, ⁣2024 -‍ NVIDIA today announced ​a $25 million ‍investment to bring‌ artificial​ intelligence⁤ education‌ to ⁣K-12 classrooms across the United ‍States, ‍partnering with learning‍ platforms⁤ Study Fetch and ⁣CK-12 to⁣ adapt its professional-level training content for high school students. The initiative directly supports the‌ White‌ house’s ‌recent executive order focused ‌on advancing AI literacy for American youth and a broader pledge to invest⁣ in ‍AI ⁢education.

The funding will​ focus on curriculum adaptation, platform integration, educator training, and outreach, with a goal of reaching one ⁣million K-12⁣ students within three⁢ years. NVIDIA will leverage its ⁤Deep Learning Institute​ (DLI) and NVIDIA Academy content, curated by Study Fetch and CK-12, to provide hands-on AI experience ‌and ‍prepare students for the evolving ⁤job market.

This commitment builds‍ on NVIDIA’s⁣ larger‍ $125 million investment in higher education⁤ and academic research within the U.S. and a recent $152 million joint commitment with the ⁣National Science‌ Foundation to Ai2 for the progress​ of open AI models.The move aligns with the White House’s “Winning ⁢the AI Race: America’s AI Action Plan,” unveiled‍ in July, which⁤ includes executive orders to accelerate data center infrastructure and promote⁣ the⁣ export of American ⁤AI technology.NVIDIA ⁣signed the White House’s Pledge to⁣ America’s Youth: Investing in AI Education in April, committing to deliver AI literacy, credentialing, and educator enablement. The company’s DLI ⁣courses, traditionally geared toward professional developers, will​ be modified ‌through⁤ the partnerships to spark ⁤curiosity and build practical skills in ‍high school students.
