The funeral for Melvin Cravitz, one of the victims of the November 11th attack on a synagogue in Manchester, England, was held today, November 14th.cravitz, 80, died after being stabbed during the assault, which police are investigating as a terrorism-related incident.
The service offered a moment of remembrance for Cravitz and Adrian Daulby, the other victim fatally injured in the attack, as the community grapples with the trauma and seeks answers. Three other individuals remain hospitalized with serious injuries sustained during the incident. Authorities continue to investigate, with two men and two women still in custody on suspicion of terrorism offences as of late Saturday, November 11th.
Rob Kanter, vice-president of the synagogue, shared that Cravitz “wanted people to come together through goodness and hope.” Family members described Daulby, 53, as a “hero” and a “beloved brother and loving uncle.”
Police initially arrested six individuals following the attack.An 18-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man have as been released without further action. The investigation is ongoing, focusing on establishing the motives behind the attack and any potential connections to extremist groups. The incident has prompted increased security measures at Jewish community centers and synagogues across the United Kingdom.
