Kike Hernández Fronts Discover Puerto Rico’s “Return the Love” Campaign Promoting Responsible Tourism

Discover Puerto Rico, the Island’s Destination marketing Organization, has launched the latest phase of its “Return the Love” initiative with a new video campaign featuring los Angeles Dodgers player Kike Hernández. The campaign celebrates Puerto Rico’s vibrant musical and sports culture while encouraging visitors to practice conscious and respectful travel.

The video,set in a baseball stadium and narrated by Hernández,aims to invite tourists to experience Puerto Rico not simply as observers,but as engaged guests immersed in the Island’s traditions and spirit.

This installment marks the third phase of the “Return the Love” campaign, discover Puerto Rico’s ongoing effort to promote responsible tourism in anticipation of major music and sports events expected to draw visitors to the Island. Previous phases featured actor Amaury Nolasco and a panel of Puerto Rican experts. The new video provides practical tips for responsible travel, capitalizing on the energy of Puerto rico’s summer season and its thriving local traditions.

The campaign features an original song, expertly crafted and mixed by Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-winning engineer Harold Wendell sanders, known for his work with numerous internationally recognized artists.

Hernández, known for his engaging personality both on and off the field, brings his charisma and passion to the campaign, highlighting Puerto rico’s musical and sports heritage and advocating for mindful travel.

The video showcases how music and movement permeate daily life in Puerto Rico – from baseball stadiums to city streets – and encourages visitors to support local businesses and experience the culture with curiosity,respect,and joy.

Alongside the video, Discover Puerto Rico has released a Q&A with Hernández and his curated playlist of pre-game favorites, inspired by Puerto Rico’s musical landscape.
