Home Assistant iCloud Integration Faces Widespread Authentication Issues

September 14, 2025 ‍- Home Assistant users are ‍reporting failures with the iCloud integration‍ following changes to Apple’s security⁣ protocols, ⁤rendering ⁤the connection unusable for many. ⁣the issue, stemming from Apple’s implementation of SRP-6a security, began impacting users attempting to link their⁣ iCloud accounts to the Home assistant platform.

The ⁣core integration, used to track location ⁢and status of family members ⁢and devices, is currently experiencing ⁢an authentication ‌roadblock. A GitHub⁤ issue (#128830) confirms the problem is a known issue awaiting a fix ⁣from Home‍ Assistant developers. Users are advised to‍ consult the official Home Assistant iCloud integration documentation‍ for updates.
