Google to Launch Commercial Quantum Computer Within Years, CEO Pichai Announces at Dreamforce 2025
SAN FRANCISCO, USA – Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced at Salesforce’s Dreamforce 2025 conference today that the company is on track to launch a large-scale, commercially viable quantum computer within the next few years.The announcement signals a major leap forward in the race to develop practical quantum computing, perhaps revolutionizing fields from medicine and materials science to finance and artificial intelligence.
Speaking alongside Salesforce CEO marc Benioff, Pichai emphasized the importance of integrating advanced technologies like quantum computing into enterprise environments ”in a safe, secure, and controllable way.” The advancement comes as Salesforce and Google deepen thier collaboration,integrating Google’s latest Gemini model into Salesforce’s Agent Force 360 platform. The collaboration between Salesforce and Google extends beyond Gemini, encompassing integration with Google Workspace apps like Gmail, Google Meet, Google Sheets, and Google Docs, allowing for seamless data access and workflow automation. Gemini Enterprise is also being integrated into Slack’s real-time search API, providing users with quicker access to insights and task execution based on current conversation data and files.
