SEOUL – Television personality Seo Jang-hoon expressed astonishment at the behavior of a husband involved in an extramarital affair, as revealed on the JTBC program “Divorce Settlement Camp” on Tuesday. The husband, grappling with his wife’s struggles with separation, infidelity, and alcohol abuse, demonstrated unwavering devotion despite the circumstances.
The episode featured a man whose wife had engaged in an affair and continued to drink heavily, even while taking medication prescribed for her health. Despite her actions, including openly scheduling days to meet with her partner, the husband attempted to accommodate her, hoping to de-escalate volatile situations triggered by her intoxication.
Seo Jang-hoon directly questioned the husband about his continued affection, to which the man immediately responded, “I love her.” He then recounted a pivotal moment in their relationship: his cancer diagnosis five or six years prior, coinciding with his wife’s pregnancy. He revealed she discovered his thyroid cancer and credited her with saving his life. “If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t be here,” he said, visibly emotional. “Given that she saved my life, I’m trying to keep my promise, even though it’s more difficult than I imagined.”
Seo Jang-hoon described the situation as “real love” and likened it to a scene from a film, stating that the husband’s final words brought him to tears.
