Arctiq Acquires Shadow-Soft: Expanding Observability & Automation Capabilities

Arctiq, a provider of professional IT solutions and managed services, has acquired Shadow-Soft, an Atlanta-based technology services firm specializing in observability, automation, and modern platform operations, the companies announced Tuesday, March 18, 2026.

The acquisition is intended to strengthen Arctiq’s engineering capabilities, particularly as organizations increasingly adopt AI-driven applications and navigate complex digital environments, according to a press release. Shadow-Soft brings expertise in technologies including Dynatrace and Red Hat, and a track record of helping organizations implement automation and cloud-native platforms.

“Shadow-Soft adds exceptional technical depth to our team and strengthens our delivery capabilities globally,” said Paul Kerr, CEO of Arctiq. “As organizations adopt AI-driven applications and operate more complex digital environments, visibility and automation across infrastructure, applications, and security become essential. The expertise this team brings in observability and platform operations will help our customers run more resilient, intelligent environments at scale.”

Shadow-Soft has built a reputation for an engineering-led approach to delivery, focusing on modern DevOps practices and improving operational efficiency and reliability. The Shadow-Soft team will continue to support existing customers while integrating into Arctiq’s North American engineering and services organization.

James Chinn, Founder & CEO at Shadow-Soft, stated that modern platforms generate substantial operational data, but many organizations struggle to derive actionable insights from it. He indicated that the acquisition will allow Shadow-Soft to extend its engineering capabilities to a broader customer base and provide clients with access to a larger global services platform and expanded innovation in areas like infrastructure, security, and AI-driven operations. “Joining Arctiq allows us to bring that engineering capability to a much broader customer base while giving our clients access to a larger global services platform and expanded innovation across infrastructure, security, and AI-driven operations,” Chinn said.

The deal expands Arctiq’s technology services capabilities, according to reporting from the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Arctiq’s acquisition of Shadow-Soft is expected to bolster its expertise in observability and platform operations.
