Carpenter’s speech, delivered while reading from a diary, praised songwriter ‌Amy Allen and others for fostering a supportive environment that‍ encourages her “crazy ideas.” This recognition comes as Carpenter rides a wave of momentum fueled by her latest​ single, “Manchild,” and the critically acclaimed album that followed.
