SpaceX Launches 28 Starlink Satellites from California, Marking booster’s First Landing
VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, CA – SpaceX successfully launched 28 Starlink satellites into orbit Sunday, November 23, 2025, from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The launch utilized a Falcon 9 rocket, with the first stage booster, B1100, achieving its first triumphant landing on the drone ship “Of Course I Still Love You” in the Pacific Ocean approximately eight and a half minutes after liftoff.
This mission adds to SpaceX’s rapidly expanding Starlink network, a commercial broadband internet service aiming to provide high-speed, low-latency internet access globally. With over 9,000 satellites now in orbit, Starlink is increasingly becoming a significant player in the connectivity landscape, notably for underserved and remote areas.Sunday’s launch followed closely on the heels of another Starlink mission from Florida’s Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Saturday,marking SpaceX’s 150th falcon 9 launch of the year.
