Peter Gilgan Foundation’s Tour de Bleu Shatters Fundraising Record, Topping $12 Million for Neurological Research
Toronto, ON – The Peter Gilgan Foundation’s 20th Anniversary Cycling Charity ride, Tour de Bleu, has achieved a landmark fundraising total of over $12 million, surpassing all previous records. The funds will directly support vital research at Toronto’s leading hospitals, accelerating breakthroughs for individuals living with neurological conditions including spinal cord injuries, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, ALS, and multiple sclerosis.This year’s success builds on two decades of commitment to brain and spinal cord health, solidifying Toronto’s position as a global hub for neurological research and treatment. The Peter Gilgan foundation, alongside its cycling team Les Domestiques and a network of dedicated supporters, has consistently championed innovative therapies and improved quality of life for those impacted by these debilitating illnesses. The considerable funds raised will empower researchers to pursue cutting-edge projects,translate discoveries into clinical applications,and ultimately offer hope to millions.
The ride saw participation from Peter Gilgan, Luke Gilgan, stephanie Trussler, Mark maybank, Kevin Smith, Michael fehlings, Tony Lang, Mark Krembil, Greg Wolfond, and Julie Quenneville, alongside representatives from Mattamy homes and the UHN Foundation.
