SPORTEL Monaco to host Key Discussion on APAC Sports Content Growth
MONACO - October 21, 2025 – SPORTEL Monaco 2025 will feature a dedicated panel discussion addressing the evolving strategies for sports content acquisition and broadcast within the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The session, scheduled for 11:15 - 12:00 on Tuesday, October 21st, at the Speakers Stage Ravel, comes as rights-holders navigate challenges in selling media rights in APAC, while broadcasters grapple with piracy and declining pay-TV subscriptions.
The APAC region, home to a growing middle class and increasing interest in global sport, presents a complex landscape for content distribution.The panel will explore how rights-holders and broadcasters can best serve fans and unlock growth in this dynamic market.
Moderated by Imran Yusuf, Executive editor of SportBusiness, the panel will include Marissa Banu-Lawrence, Head of Content Acquisitions, Commercial sport, Fox Sports Australia; Mark Chew, Co-Founder & Managing Director, Reddentes Sports; and Kevin sim, Head of Asia Pacific, Bundesliga International.
