Jordan Ngatikaura, husband of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Jessi Draper Ngatikaura, has filed for divorce after five years of marriage, according to court records obtained by TMZ on Thursday.
Ngatikaura filed the petition in a Utah court, bringing an end to a relationship that has played out publicly on the reality television series. He stated to TMZ, “This has not been an effortless decision and it comes with a heavy heart. I’m grateful for the shared memories and the lessons. Even as our paths are now moving in different directions, my priority remains my children and ensuring they sense loved, supported and protected through this transition.”
He continued, “I am committed to handling this next chapter with kindness and respect. I kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this as a family.”
The couple share a son and a daughter, in addition to a daughter from Draper Ngatikaura’s previous relationship, indicating potential complexities regarding child custody and support arrangements as the divorce proceedings unfold. Draper Ngatikaura and Ngatikaura initially married in October 2020, and their relationship has experienced periods of separation and reconciliation, as documented on the demonstrate.
Prior to the divorce filing, the couple listed their Salt Lake City home for sale, fueling speculation about a split. The listing followed the depiction of their relationship challenges on “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” suggesting a culmination of issues that led to the decision to divorce, according to TMZ.
