Silvio Rodríguez Musicians to Host Free Masterclass for Young Chilean Artists
La pintana, Chile – Three official musicians accompanying celebrated Cuban artist Silvio Rodríguez will conduct a free masterclass for young musicians this Friday, October 3rd, at the Municipal Theatre of La Pintana. The event offers a unique opportunity for aspiring Chilean artists to learn from professionals who regularly perform alongside one of the most influential figures in Spanish-language songwriting.
The masterclass, scheduled for 7:00 p.m., will feature Oliver Valdés (drums), Jorge Reyes (double bass), and Jorge Aragón (piano). They will work directly with students from Big Band La Pintana, a jazz and popular music orchestra supported by the commune’s cultural corporation, guiding them through interpretations of Rodríguez’s signature songs. This initiative underscores a commitment to fostering musical education and cultural exchange within the La Pintana community and beyond.
Claudio Espinosa, director of the La Pintana Cultural Corporation, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “For us it is a great honor to receive these tremendous musicians.It will be a free event and open to the community where we can know what the work of these great teachers who perform their work with one of the greatest performers of the Spanish hispanic market.”
Attendance is free but requires advance ticket reservations, limited to two per person, available through the La Pintana Cultural Center website.
