Family Adventure Day Set for October 4th at Runge Conservation Nature Center

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Families are invited to a day of outdoor fun and learning at Runge Conservation Nature Center in Jefferson City on October 4th. The missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is hosting the free event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring a variety of hands-on nature exploration and activity stations.
Adding to the excitement, MDC has partnered with KMOS PBS Kids to offer a special meet-and-greet photo opportunity with Daniel Tiger from Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. Episodes of the popular PBS Kids show will also be screened throughout the day.
No registration is required for this all-ages event, and attendees are welcome to come and go as they please.

Runge Conservation Nature Center provides year-round opportunities to connect with nature. The nature center trails are open daily from 6 a.m.to 9 p.m. The nature center building’s hours are as follows:
- Tuesday & Wednesday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Thursday: 8 a.m.- 8 p.m.
- Friday & Saturday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
