Pogoń Szczecin Parts Ways with Coach Kolendowicz, Grosicki Shares Heartfelt Farewell
Szczecin, Poland - Pogoń Szczecin has relieved Robert Kolendowicz of his duties as head coach, effective Tuesday. Kolendowicz, who had been in charge since August 2024, departs after a run of 44 matches that yielded 23 wins, 7 draws, and 14 losses. His connection too the club extends far beyond his recent tenure, having served as an assistant coach under Kosty Runjaicia and Jens Gustafsson for over a decade.
The decision comes amidst a frustrating start to the 2025/2026 season for Portowcy (The Sailors). Despite meaningful investment in player transfers - totaling EUR 4.74 million under new owner Alex Haditaghi – the team currently sits ninth in the league table after eight matchdays.
