Piers Morgan abruptly ended a live interview on his program Thursday after a guest, identified as a “manosphere” influencer known as HSTikkyTokky, referenced a previous joke Morgan made about his wife’s pool boy. The incident, which unfolded on TalkTV, prompted Morgan to launch a scathing rebuke before walking off set.
HSTikkyTokky, who was previously featured in Louis Theroux’s BBC documentary “Inside the Manosphere,” reportedly brought up the pool boy comment in an attempt to provoke a reaction from Morgan. According to reports from the New York Post and Variety, Morgan responded with visible anger, telling HSTikkyTokky, “I think you’re a f—ing idiot.”
“I’m not doing this!” Morgan exclaimed before removing his microphone and leaving the studio. The interview was immediately cut short, with the broadcast switching to a pre-recorded segment. Page Six reported the exchange as a “crude remark” about Morgan’s wife.
The original joke Morgan referenced reportedly involved a lighthearted comment about his wife Celia Walden having a “hot pool boy” during a previous appearance on a podcast. The resurfacing of this remark by HSTikkyTokky appeared intended to challenge Morgan’s views and potentially disrupt the interview.
HSTikkyTokky’s presence on Morgan’s show was already considered controversial given his association with the “manosphere,” an online community often associated with misogynistic views and anti-feminist ideologies. Theroux’s documentary explored this subculture, examining its beliefs and impact.
As of Friday, TalkTV has not issued a statement regarding the incident beyond the abrupt end to the interview. It remains unclear whether the interview will be resumed or if HSTikkyTokky will be invited back on the program.
