Michael Devine, a resident of 1 Mulvey House, Strabane, has died at his home, according to an obituary published by Highland Radio on Thursday, March 19, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Carmel and is survived by his children, Michael, Marguerite, Elaine, and Katrina.
The funeral is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 21st, with the remains leaving his home at 9:30 a.m. For Requiem Mass at the Church of the Immaculate Conception at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Strabane Cemetery. Reposing at his home from 4:30 p.m. On Thursday, family time will be observed from 10:00 p.m. To 11:00 a.m. And on the morning of the funeral.
Mr. Devine is as well remembered as a grandfather to Reece, Eimear, and Méabh, and a brother to Thomas, Mary, Cathy, and Gerry. He was predeceased by his siblings, Frankie, Brian, Seamus, Patricia, and Andy. Funeral Times also reported his death on March 18th, 2026.
Quigley Funeral Directors were thanked by family members on Facebook for their professionalism and support. Aughabrack & District Community Association Committee, Majella, and volunteers were also acknowledged for providing refreshments following the death.
A separate obituary published by Highland Radio on December 13, 2025, details the death of another Michael Devine, of 4 Glenelly View, Plumbridge and formerly of Doorat, Aughabrack, who died at Altnagelvin Hospital on December 12th, 2025. That Michael Devine was the husband of Rosaleen and father to Jason, Quentin, and Michelle.
