Marriott Bonvoy Cards: Record High Welcome Offers – Up to 200K Points & Free Nights

American Express is currently offering record-high welcome bonuses on several Marriott Bonvoy credit cards, with opportunities for novel cardholders to earn up to 200,000 points or five free night awards.

The Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express card is offering a 200,000-point bonus after spending $6,000 in eligible purchases within the first six months of card membership, a figure described as the highest ever seen for the card. The Marriott Bonvoy Bevy American Express card is offering 175,000 points after $5,000 in spending over the same period. These offers, launched recently, nearly double previous bonus amounts.

The Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express card is also participating in the promotion, offering three free night awards after $6,000 in purchases and an additional two free night awards after spending another $3,000, all within the first six months. Each free night award can be redeemed for up to 50,000 points, potentially making the offer worth up to 250,000 Marriott points.

These elevated offers reach after Marriott acquired Starwood, leading to a restructuring of its co-branded credit card portfolio shared by Chase and American Express. The current promotions are limited-time offers, with the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant card offer expiring on May 13, 2026, according to Frequent Miler.

Beyond the welcome bonuses, Marriott Bonvoy cards offer benefits such as Marriott elite status, annual free nights, and discounts on Marriott stays. The Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express card, for example, provides 6x points on Marriott purchases, 4x points at restaurants, and U.S. Gas stations, and 2x points on all other eligible purchases. The annual fee for this card is $125.

The Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express card carries a $650 annual fee and offers benefits including a $300 dining credit ($25 per month) and 6x points on Marriott purchases, 3x points on flights booked directly with airlines, and 3x points at restaurants worldwide.
