Laure Manaudou was eliminated from “Danse avec les stars” on Friday, March 20, following a prime time show centered around a “battle of the judges,” according to reports. The elimination came after Angélique Angarni-Filopon, Miss France 2025, was previously eliminated on March 13 after facing Julien Lieb in a dance-off.
The March 20 episode featured a modified format where the two lowest-scoring teams faced off against a third couple. Maghla and Emma, representing Mel Charlot’s team, along with Manaudou, were at risk. Manaudou and her partner, Christian Millette, ultimately left the competition.
Manaudou’s departure marks the fifth elimination this season. Philippe Lellouche, Stéphane Bern, and Ian Ziering were eliminated in prior weeks. Angélique Angarni-Filopon’s elimination last week followed a final dance against Julien Lieb and Elsa Bois, who received the lowest score from the judges.
Angarni-Filopon expressed her disappointment after being eliminated, stating, “I would have liked to go further. I don’t know what was missing, but I tried to dance for all the greats,” according to reports. She added, “I gave it my all. I admit I didn’t expect to leave.”
During the “battle of the judges” episode, teams were assigned to different judges. Laure Manaudou and Juju Fitcats partnered with Chris Marques, Lucie Bernardoni and Marcus joined Jean-Marc Généreux’s team, and Julien Lieb and Samuel Bambi were mentored by Fauve Hautot. Maghla and Emma worked with Mel Charlot.
The fifteenth season of “Danse avec les stars” has been marked by a series of injuries. Manaudou was previously sidelined due to a sprained ankle on March 13, requiring the use of a medical joker. Julien Lieb had also utilized a medical joker earlier in the season.
Juju Fitcats continues to be a frontrunner in the competition, consistently achieving high scores. However, she recently shared in her vlog that she experiences anxiety before performances, even considering consulting a sports doctor to address the issue.
