Sinner Claims Beijing Title, Securing 21st Career Trophy
BEIJING – Jannik Sinner dominated Learner Tien in the final of the ATP Beijing tournament, securing a decisive 6-2, 6-2 victory and his third title of the season, the 21st of his career. The win marks Sinner’s continued dominance on the ATP circuit, where he and carlos Alcaraz have consistently reigned supreme.
Facing Tien, a 19-year-old appearing in his first ATP final (excluding Next Gen ATP Finals), Sinner quickly established control. Tien struggled with early nerves, including a double fault and an immediate break against his serve. Sinner maintained a consistent and powerful game, breaking Tien a second time to lead 4-1 in the first set, ultimately closing it out 6-2 in 34 minutes.
The second set saw a brief resurgence from Tien, who earned his first break point of the match. However, Sinner responded with a decisive passing shot, and tien’s level quickly dropped. Double faults continued to plague the American’s game, leading to another break and a 3-2 deficit.
sinner then extinguished any remaining resistance, securing a break at 30-40 with an ace and a winning serve to extend his lead. Tien was unable to recover, failing to win another game as Sinner completed the straight-sets victory.
This marks Sinner’s first title since last year’s final loss to Alcaraz, who remains the only player to have defeated the Italian in a final since 2023.
