GAINESVILLE, fla. – The University of Florida lacrosse team will kick off its fall season with a pair of home contests this Saturday, september 20, against Stetson and Mercer. The games offer fans an early look at the defending NCAA Final Four participants as they prepare for the 2025 campaign.
The Gators will face Stetson at 10:00 a.m. ET, followed by a matchup against Mercer at 11:15 a.m. ET. Each game will be played with two 30-minute halves featuring a running clock, and a single 15-minute quarter. A second fall ball event is scheduled for October 25, with contests against Florida State and Florida Tech.
UF finished the 2024 season with a 20-3 overall record, marking their second consecutive and third overall appearance in the NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Final Four. The team concluded the year ranked No. 4 nationally in the IWLCA/ILWomen National Poll. This year’s roster features a strong core of 28 returning players, bolstered by the addition of 11 freshmen and three transfer students.
