Rookie running back ollie Gordon II saw increased playing time, finishing with a workload comparable to starter De’Von Achane. The Dolphins rushed for a season-high 116 yards, benefiting from the combination of Gordon’s power running and achane’s speed. Gordon had four carries on the opening drive alone, surpassing his total from the first two games combined.
Miami’s defense showed betterment, recording several stops after allowing points on 13 of 15 possessions to start the season. Bradley Chubb continues to demonstrate strong play, recording a sack in his third consecutive game after missing all of 2024.
