BetBoom Team has signed 16-year-old Andrei “bottega” to a contract, though he will initially play on loan with Yellow Submarine, according to Luca “Lukawa” Nasuashvili, the team’s manager. The announcement, made via Nasuashvili’s Telegram channel, details a scouting process that began when bottega was 14 years old and ranked around 2400 in the Dota 2 ranking system.
Nasuashvili described noticing bottega’s “thinking, confidence and approach to the game” early on, initiating communication and monitoring his development. By January 2026, bottega had reached a rank of 700, prompting BetBoom Team to formalize their interest. The organization provided bottega with equipment and merchandise, keeping the arrangement private to avoid undue pressure.
“he focused completely on the game – and it had an effect,” Nasuashvili stated. “Highly soon Andrey made a breakthrough, broke in and confidently established himself in the top 100.” Bottega will debut with Yellow Submarine in the open qualifiers for both the Riyadh Masters and The International 2025.
BetBoom Team’s signing of bottega comes after recent commentary from Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko regarding his departure from the team, though Nasuashvili’s announcement does not directly address Moskalenko’s statements. BetBoom Team is currently preparing for ESL One Birmingham 2026, scheduled to begin on March 21, 2026, according to Liquipedia.
Lukawa also managed BetBoom Team during an incident following their victory over Falcons in Birmingham, where a post-match handshake was declined, as reported by GGScore.com. The reason for the declined handshake was explained by the BetBoom Team manager.
