Chandler explained to RadioTimes.com that the series deliberately centers on hybrid children to amplify the story’s thematic weight. “Kids are, like, the most human, the most innocent, the most raw and real entity of humanity,” she said. “And so to throw that into the world of Alien, where you’re dealing with not only aliens, but questions of morality, questions of consciousness, especially in this one, innocence lost, ‘Who are you?’, identity - to bring children into that, it adds a very eerie and powerful factor to it, and it’s really, really fun to play.”
Alien: Earth reimagines the Alien franchise, shifting the setting to Earth in the aftermath of the events of the original films. The series follows a group of children, hybrids created through artificial insemination, as they navigate a world grappling with the legacy of the xenomorphs and the complex ethical questions surrounding their existence.
