Ana de Armas was photographed on a shopping date with Marcelo Valente in Los Angeles this week, according to reports, following a nine-month relationship with Tom Cruise that concluded in October 2025. Sources indicate the split stemmed from Cruise’s controlling behavior during their relationship.
The relationship between de Armas and Cruise began in February 2025, coinciding with initial discussions regarding the film “Deeper,” a supernatural ocean thriller. Reports at the time described an immediate chemistry between the two actors. Their romance quickly became public, with the pair traveling together to locations including Madrid, Menorca, and Woodstock, Vermont, where de Armas owns a home. They were likewise seen attending an Oasis concert in London and a birthday party for David Beckham.
However, sources close to de Armas have since characterized the relationship as imbalanced. One insider, speaking to Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop, described Cruise as acting “like a director, not a boyfriend,” exerting control over aspects of their dates, outfits, and weekend plans. “Every dinner, every outfit, every weekend plan — he had notes.
