Arthur Cabral is a doubt for Botafogo‘s Sunday (october 19th) match against Ceará at Arena Castelão. The forward sustained a left hand injury during the first half of last week’s game against Flamengo and completed the match with his hand immobilized.
Should Cabral be unable to play, chris Ramos is expected to start. Head coach Davide Ancelotti is also considering options in the attack, weighing whether to start Artur or Jeffinho.
Newton is eligible to return after completing a suspension, as is vitinho, who was away on international duty with the Brazilian national team. however, Alexander Barboza and Marlon Freitas are both suspended due to accumulated yellow cards.
Botafogo’s probable starting lineup is: Leo Linck; Vitinho, Marçal (Gabriel Bahia), David Ricardo and cuiabano; Newton, Allan and Savarino; Santi Rodríguez, Chris Ramos and Artur (Jeffinho).
The team will hold a final training session on Saturday before traveling to Fortaleza for the 29th round of the Brazilian championship.
