How to Use Your Amex Platinum’s Lululemon Credits (… Including Gift Cards!)

by Priya Shah – Business Editor

Amex Platinum Cardholders Have ⁣Days Left to Utilize Remaining Lululemon Credit

American Express Platinum ⁢cardholders ⁢have less ⁤than a ‌week to maximize a newly ⁤added perk: up to $300 annually in Lululemon⁤ credit, distributed as $75 quarterly. ⁤The benefit, ‍launched earlier ⁢this year, is ⁣designed to incentivize card usage and provide value⁤ to Platinum members,⁤ but ‌the first⁣ quarterly⁣ credit‍ expires at the end of⁣ September.

This benefit‍ applies⁤ to ⁣purchases made at Lululemon stores and online, and⁢ crucially, cardholders⁣ can utilize⁤ the credit‍ towards ‌the purchase of Lululemon⁢ gift cards ⁣- both physical and e-gift cards – effectively allowing them to⁢ save the⁣ credit for future purchases. However, recent reports suggest‌ benefit ⁢tracking updates may be delayed, and‌ cardholders should act quickly to ensure ⁢the credit is applied before the ⁣quarterly deadline.

The Amex Platinum Lululemon benefit ⁣works by ⁣requiring cardholders to enroll through⁤ their American ‍Express account. Once enrolled, ⁢eligible purchases will automatically receive statement credits. While direct⁢ purchases are the primary method, utilizing the credit for gift cards provides versatility for larger, future purchases or gifting.

If ⁢a ‌purchase isn’t instantly reflected in ‍the benefit tracker,⁢ cardholders still have a short window to make a qualifying purchase before the credit is forfeited. As a backup, purchasing items with the intention of returning them for store credit – rather than a refund – can also secure ⁤the benefit, though⁣ this is a less convenient option.

The annual $300 Lululemon credit is broken down into ⁣quarterly increments of $75, expiring at the end of each quarter. With september drawing to ⁤a close, ⁣cardholders should verify their benefit‌ usage and make any necessary purchases to avoid losing ‍the remaining $75 ⁤credit for this quarter.
