The position,a term appointment ending in August 2026,will be based at the St. George campus in downtown Toronto.The accomplished candidate will play a pivotal role in the planning,execution,and evaluation of events for the Dean’s Office and various academic units within the Faculty.

What You’ll Do:
The Event Coordinator will be responsible for the full lifecycle of events, from initial concept to post-event analysis. key responsibilities include:
* Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining strong relationships with faculty, students, and partners.
* Event Management: Conceptualizing, organizing, and executing a diverse range of events.
* Strategic Communications: developing and implementing marketing and communications plans to maximize event reach and impact.
* Logistics & Vendor Management: Overseeing logistical details, securing quotes, and coordinating with vendors (catering, A/V, etc.).
* Technical Proficiency: Managing technology for hybrid events, utilizing platforms like Zoom and Teams.
* Evaluation & Improvement: Conducting post-event evaluations and recommending improvements for future events.
Who They’re Looking For:
the ideal candidate will possess:
* A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experiance.
* A minimum of five years of recent, relevant experience in event planning and coordination, preferably within a university habitat.
* Proven ability to develop and execute compelling communications and marketing strategies across multiple platforms (print, digital, social media).
* Experience leading event staff and managing event budgets.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to act as a primary point of contact for event-related inquiries.
