Adolescence wins big at Emmys and star Owen Cooper, 15, becomes youngest actor awarded

Adolescence Sweeps ⁤Limited Series Categories ‌at Emmys, ⁤15-Year-old ⁢Owen Cooper Makes History

Los Angeles – The limited series Adolescence dominated the evening at the recent awards gala, ‍securing wins for‍ Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, as ‍well ⁣as acting awards for Stephen Graham, Cristin​ Milioti, Owen Cooper,⁤ and Erin ​Doherty. Notably,‌ Owen cooper, at age 15, became the⁤ youngest actor ever too receive an award in⁤ any‌ of the acting categories, ​winning for Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or⁢ movie for his ‌role‍ in Adolescence.

The ⁤gala, hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze, ​featured⁢ a unique twist: a running tally of ⁣money deducted for speeches ‌exceeding the 45-second time limit,⁢ with funds added back for those⁤ that ran short. “Don’t go crazy,⁣ because I am paying for this,” Bargatze quipped during the event. While​ a money counter was ‌initially displayed, it was later removed as considerable donations from Bargatze and others ultimately ‍covered any deductions.

Other major ‍award recipients included The Pitt, ​named Outstanding Drama Series, and⁢ The Studio, which took home ⁣the award for Outstanding Comedy Series. Britt Lower of Severance won Lead Actress in a Drama, while Noah Wyle, also of The Pitt, was named Lead ⁢Actor in a⁤ Drama. Seth Rogen ‍(The Studio) and Jean Smart (Hacks) earned Lead Actor and Actress honors in the comedy categories, ⁤respectively.
