Trump: Iran’s Leaders “All Destroyed”, No One Wants to Lead Now

President Donald Trump stated on Friday that the United States is “very close” to achieving its objectives in its conflict with Iran, and is now considering a gradual withdrawal of military presence. The announcement came as Trump asserted that Iranian leadership had been “all destroyed,” leaving no clear counterpart for potential negotiations.

“We are looking at a gradual withdrawal, very strong, very powerful,” Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform, according to reports from multiple news outlets. He reiterated that the destruction of Iranian missile capabilities, launch facilities, and defense industrial base remained key goals of the U.S. Campaign, alongside the elimination of Iran’s naval and air forces, and ensuring the country remains non-nuclear. He also emphasized the protection of U.S. Allies, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

Trump indicated a willingness to engage in dialogue with Iran, but expressed frustration at the lack of a viable negotiating partner. “Now there’s nobody to negotiate with. We desire to negotiate, but there’s just nobody there. And that’s okay,” he stated. This follows earlier claims by the President regarding the elimination of Iranian leadership, and speculation that potential successor Mojtaba Khamenei may be incapacitated following reported strikes.

The statements align with reports that the Pentagon is accelerating the deployment of additional military units to the Middle East. Discussions within the Trump administration regarding the potential deployment of ground troops to Iran have also been reported, though no final decisions have been publicly announced.

Trump’s comments came as the U.S. Continues to assess the impact of recent military actions against Iranian targets. The President previously stated the intention to destroy key Iranian military assets, including radar installations. The lack of a clear leadership structure in Iran, as described by Trump, presents a significant challenge to any potential diplomatic efforts.
