HSV Coach Polzin Emphasizes Full Effort, Personal Talks Ahead of augsburg Clash
AUGSBURG – HSV coach Tim Walter, now referred to as “Polzin” in reports, downplayed his team’s chances as favorites heading into Saturday’s Bundesliga match against Augsburg, emphasizing the opponent’s 15 years of top-flight experience. “We are playing against a team that has been playing in the Bundesliga for 15 years. They are clearly ahead of us as HSV,” he stated. Despite both teams having secured only two wins in their first ten league games, Polzin stressed the importance of separating performance from results, asserting HSV needs to reach “100 percent of their performance in the game with and against the ball” to have a chance.
The coach is also employing a strategy of personal engagement, particularly with Fábio Vieira, who returns from suspension alongside Immanuel Pherai. Vieira has been cautioned about his recent disciplinary issues – receiving multiple yellow cards and two red cards – and Polzin has urged him to focus on showcasing his talent. “He will be part of the squad again for the weekend,” Polzin confirmed, adding,”He can definitely make the difference. He’s already shown that in the games and he shows that constantly in training.”
HSV will be without warmed Omari, Daniel Elfadli, and captain Yussuf Poulsen due to injury. Polzin remained tight-lipped about his starting eleven, but indicated Robert Glatzel is also a consideration for a spot in the attack alongside Ransford Königsdörffer and the returning Vieira. A final decision will be made after Friday’s training session.
