borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy is highly unlikely to remain with the club beyond next summer, with a clear plan already in place for his future, according to a report from Bild. The 29-year-old has been a key player for Dortmund since arriving in the summer of 2024, currently leading the team with nine goals in 17 games, but his long-term future appears to lie elsewhere.
Guirassy is targeting a move to either a top European club capable of meeting his release clause, or a financially lucrative offer from the Saudi Pro League. His advisor has already received offers for a transfer to Saudi arabia worth €80 million. The situation impacts Dortmund’s forward planning, potentially triggering a search for a replacement as early as this winter, with TSG Hoffenheim‘s Fisnik Asllani (23) already identified as a potential successor.
His release clause, set at €50 million, is valid from next summer, but is restricted to a select group of clubs: Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal FC, Chelsea FC, and Liverpool FC. any other interested club would need to significantly exceed that amount, given Guirassy’s contract with BVB extends until 2028.
Guirassy has ruled out a winter transfer, instead focusing on performing strongly for Dortmund to further showcase his abilities before the summer transfer window opens.
