Indonesian actress Wanda Hamidah marked the Eid al-Fitr holiday with three of her children on Friday, while publicly expressing her longing for her eldest son, Alfath Hakim, who was not present for the celebration. Hamidah shared details of the observance on her Instagram account, noting that her family celebrated earlier than many due to commencing their prompt earlier in the month.
“Eid Mubarak! Taqoballahu minna wa minum , taqoballahu ya kariim… Because we fasted earlier, we celebrate earlier. Please forgive us for any wrongdoings. Birruh biddam nafdika ya Aqsa,” Hamidah posted alongside photos from the occasion, according to reporting from DetikHot.
The actress conducted the Eid prayer at the Muhammadiyah Mosque in South Jakarta with her children Shalima, Rakhshan, and Malakai. She followed the prayers with a visit to the graves of family members. Despite the family gathering, Hamidah’s post included a direct message to her son, Alfath Hakim, stating, “Missing you son @alfathhakim.”
Alfath Hakim, along with his sister Shalima Hakim, participated in protests at the DPR RI building in Jakarta in August 2024, demonstrating against government decisions regarding election regulations, as reported by Liputan6.com. At the time, Wanda Hamidah publicly supported her children’s activism, stating she would repost their updates from the protest.
Alfath Hakim is a student at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), while his sister Shalima studies at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in Yogyakarta. He is also a member of the Warrior Basketball Academy, having previously led his team to victory in the U14 category, according to CewekBanget.
Hamidah, who is also a notary and former member of the DPRD, has not publicly disclosed the reason for Alfath Hakim’s absence from the Eid celebration.
