Steinwascher Hat Trick Powers Milwaukee Wave to Big Win | MASL Golazo

Milwaukee Wave forward Alex Steinwascher completed a hat trick as his team took a commanding 15-1 lead in the fourth quarter against an as-yet-unnamed opponent, according to a post on the Major Arena Soccer League’s official Facebook page Friday evening.

The prolific scoring performance comes after Steinwascher, 25, spent the 2024 season with Coastal Spirit in Christchurch, New Zealand, where he scored 25 goals in 26 appearances, according to biographical information available from Wikipedia. Prior to his time in New Zealand, Steinwascher played for Union Omaha in USL League One, scoring two goals in 22 matches in 2023.

Steinwascher’s collegiate career began at the University of Indianapolis in 2018, where he made 79 appearances and scored 38 goals over four seasons. He was a two-time Great Lakes Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Year during his time with the Greyhounds. He later attended Xavier University as a graduate student in 2022, adding three goals in 18 appearances for the Musketeers.

The Milwaukee Wave also featured Steinwascher briefly in November 2022, before his stint with Union Omaha. He currently plays for the Wave in the Major Arena Soccer League, and has also played for Oakland County FC in the USL League Two, scoring three goals across two seasons with the club.

Another Facebook post from the Major Arena Soccer League, published five hours prior to the hat trick announcement, highlighted Steinwascher scoring a fifth goal for the Milwaukee Wave in the first quarter of the same game.
